Ah Bugger!! Glad it was not more serious. I admire your pluck and courage in "hanging in"!
Coming home from my physio appointment l was traveling down a slope the foot path and there is a section with a camber, and one wheel chair drive wheels hit a bit of foliage over the foot path , there l lost traction and i ended up flipping the chair on it's side, .The seat belt stopped me being thrown out but kept me attached to the chair. 2 tradies and a truckie stopped to offer assistance and asked if l hit head or needed an ambulance. l was in a bit of shock grazed my elbow and knee on the concrete. the chair was still in drive mode and something must have jammed the joystick and it was trying to push me along. they were very concerned that i was ok then 2 of them uprighted my chair put back things that fallen off after they off picked me up and placed me back in chair. l damaged the arm rest, the head light indicator, alloy wheel assembly.
Now all I have to wait on how my plan coordinator handles this. I did take out comprehensive cover for it. Now the ndis are going to pay for a care worker to walk beside me when out and about. l would rather the council get off their bums and police overgrown vegetation sprawling over footpaths.
the chair is supposed be all terrain and have good traction.

Hammer the council, Mario, ask them to pay for the repairs. It's amazing how their attitude to compliance and enforcement can change if they think it will cost them money.
