I Did a Britney and ran again today

Did a Britney and ran again today. "net Time was a slow 04:23:39.593 42.2km or 26.2 mile" A lot slower than I had hoped. A toe nail or two will go- rookie error as I usually have them cut very short and some freebie gels I tried had me almost vomiting by 30km mark. My second goal was to run the entire way with NO walking. I did that happily.

30,000 odd other people ran or wheeled them selves over several distance.

Thank you to those who Supported Sailor On I mean Soldier On of course.

18 soldiers were running. The Sargent and a lot of recruits all liked my tee shirt as they ran past me the sods One other ADF shirt and a Air force gent was mixed in with the soldiers

I do not use this charity myself but I have met several returned service people and families who speak very highly of the help they provide

Good on you James, you raised over three times your target. It's a most worthy charity, people need to know service men and women sign a blank check to protect this country and its population. That cheque can be cashed at any time, costing the ultimate sacrifice. The least we can do is partially return the favour, when those brave people need help.

James also placed 24th in the top fundraisers 2022 NIKE MELBOURNE MARATHON FESTIVAL (grassrootz.com) and it wouldn't take much to move him up into the Top 20, by donating via his easy to use page James Bishop in 2022 NIKE MELBOURNE MARATHON FESTIVAL (grassrootz.com) as it doesn't seem to have closed yet, and I'm sure Soldier On will continue long after 2022.

    A Brittney again

Portland 3 Bays Number 5 for me. First time I left the Disco at home and took the mg

I have been busy trying to get faster - failed in that but finished which is always a good start. 42.2 km run is nuts some may think. A Hybrid Fool is a Ultra marathon on Saturday then the short 42.2 marathon on Sunday- I am not nuts - they are !

21 Hybrid Fool and a total of 54 did the marathon.

Time for a long chat with a few people - Agronomist from Ballarrat - Was an Office intake at Duntroon, Does 1/2 Ironwomen and full Ironwomen
She chatted due to my "Soldier On" Mental Health charity shirt despite admitting I 'Once Was Navy'.

Another long chat with a cool Hybrid Fool who entertained me with yarns about the Ulta the day before. He was carrying camera taking video. I think I heard him adding a bit about me titanium reinforced running nut.

A accountant/farmer book keeper from Dunkeld walking a 1/2 marathon got caught for a chat for about the last 10km when I struggled to a walk. The Marathon support cool motor cycle Gent shadowed me frequently thinking I was about to give up with cramps and a few staggers I might have put on for sympathy.

Wangerratta, Portfairy Melbourne and now 3 Bays for this year. Should I squeeze a 5th in for the year? I think Run for the Young might be next week

The ev spoiled my weekend f course. I had to add a SLOW charge in Colac parked beside a HE WHO WILL NOT BE NAMED branded unused fast chargers.
The did send me an email stating they are considering allowing non branded rubbish like mine to hob nob with the lar de dar cars By the time they do that several will be 50 odd more fast charge options operating here in Vic making me not pay them any money I would happily pay them now. Such is life I have more time for running thankfully Deleting my Tweeter account to avoid me grumbling or waffling about Nuclear Power, Hydrogen or running.

A wow or two on the road with a section of the Princes Highway near Fyansford. Water up to the road and raging in Several creeks and rivers.

Look away now kiddies. I am not pretty any time but add a whole new level of sweat and pain at 42.2km end

Did you meet any furry or feathered members in the Navy like these?

Calls for more recognition for Australia's war animals, including pension for war dogs - ABC News

The pension will be for vet bills when the animals retire from service.
