There are plenty of places where anyone can say anything they want, but this isn’t one of them. Remember that this place is here to give Land Rover owners a place to learn and ask questions etc about their vehicles. The rest of what we carry on about here is supplemental to that, and Google partly pays for the site to operate through revenue from Adsense so I don’t see why it’s an overreach to follow the rules they want to impose.
If you don’t like it there are plenty of other places to go to chat about such things.
Gav, that particular part of the discussion was about the broader issues around Google, not AULRO. I am aware of, and totally support AULRO's position here. It's far preferable for a site like this one to maintain certain standards to keep certain threads from degenerating into slanging matches, a point I've made before. From a persronal perspective I wish we didn't have to depend on Google, but it is what it is, and that's fine.
