Exactly!
There was about a 5' span between plant platform RSJ's last week so I had to see if I could make the jump cleanly. [emoji16]
Admittedly there was only about 2' to the next roof, but I would've looked like a goose to the 18yo apprentice if I didn't make it. (And probably scored some good grazes at a minimum) [emoji15][emoji23]
Geez Tins
Are you sure we ain’t related, long lost family from the dark ages
I still don’t listen to my old man, he pretends to listen to me, but does his own thing and he’s passed that onto my sons (sometimes they don’t listen at all), look at ya and nod their head, turn ya back and they’ve gone and done it completely different (wrong)
🤣🤣
But but but, did you make it?
I think the biggest hazard for Fridgies is coming down an extension ladder with an armful of tools while trying to grip the rungs with one's teeth.
A previous workmate of mine tried it, went arse over head backwards, landed on his back & stove his skull in on the concrete slab. Died about a year later.
Before joining the Army, my son did a roofie apprenticeship. Apart from his screw gun, which had a holster, he'd drop his tools, in a bag. Philosophy was 'I can get new ones'. He was working on things like distribution centres. Long way down. No getting up if you fall off one of those.
