Where are you landing ?? I’d be a little bit concerned if it’s brisbane.
Hello wise forum.
I’ll be going to Fraser on Thursday and haven’t yet organised a hire 4wd.
Years ago my father hired a Perentie for Fraser and I would dearly love to do the same. Having said that I’ll hire anything if it does the job, although I would prefer something with a green oval on it.
Can someone recommend a hassle free place to hire from?
ps. Have just been informed I have 40min from when the flight lands to when the ferry leaves 😳
Where are you landing ?? I’d be a little bit concerned if it’s brisbane.
Fleetcrew allow their 4B’s onto Fraser.
Some hire companies restrict you to south of Indian head
Given there are no many backpackers floating around there should be the cheap and nasty options
Hire vehicles with side facing seats have been banned on the island for quite a while.
So that sort of put an end to the hire Perenties.
Bugger.
Makes sense though.
And to add, most hire companies seem to use Prados,we were there last week and saw quite a few.
Sand is nice and hard due to the recent rain.
Just watching a wildlife documentary on TV about Fraser Island. I never knew that the salt water crocodile was a resident on the island. Amazing what you can learn when not trying. Before you ask it is a Film Victoria production according to the titles
