I was just looking at car sales and the prices for defenders. 300tdi @ 35k+ and Td5’s @ 42k +, do they really sell for those prices?

Our 2010 Puma was the hardest sale of any vehicle we've moved on. Especially it took much longer than either our 300Tdi or Td5. Now I'm wondering if the D4 will be the same.... and sweating at the thought of the morons that come to view and drive it.

Im not getting anything else, there is nothing on the market that can replace a defender unless you spend another 40k on it.
How does it work with insurance, should I have it insured for market rate instead of agreed value?
How is the market value calculated in order to determine the market value? Any car insurance guru’s here?
Mate have a look at your insurance policy terms and conditions and policy schedule. Usually market value is defined and sometimes (often) they refer to their own appraisal guided by reputable sources such as Glasses Guide etc. But the wording of your policy is key. I have found that with some models some of the Guides undervalue. Often a valuer will look at recent sales using Carsales etc to get a good idea. Cheers
