    Flying car.

What a great way to thwart those pesky phone cameras.

With such a large percentage of drivers lacking spacial awareness, judgment, consideration or the ability to concentrate on the task at hand, in two dimensions, adding a dimension is truly terrifying.

I wonder if you have to turn off traction control and DSC etc. before engaging flight mode?

Perhaps the RULZ here might be a tougher issue I guess Ian. The hoopla here over a video boys with some drones lifting a chair over a river recently might prevented the Wright Brothers had they been Australia

Not exactly correct. The first flying car to actually be driveable and to actually fly dates to 1937. The most successful to date is the 1949 Taylor Aerocar. Up to about six examples were built, and at least one is still operational. There have been quite a few unsuccessful attempts from about 1910 to the present, with at least one killing the inventor.

The problem is not only that the demands made on the design by operation on the road and in the air are quite different, but that any successful vehicle has to meet the design and maintenance rules for both aircraft and car, and that the operator has to have both a car and pilot's licence. This not only makes the design task much more difficult, but makes the manufacture much more expensive that either type of vehicle.

Never say never, but I can't see it happening next week. One of the big hurdles is the some of the safety standards of motor vehicles and aircraft contradict each other.
