    Hi,
Helping a mate who was servicing gas connections/gauges/manifolds etc in a couple of his local major burger style establishments revealed to me that back of house hygiene left a lot to be desired. I have once tried eating their product to ease the persistant whining of our two (then) teenagers.
No desire to repeat the experience.
    Cheers

One of the many jobs I have bounced into was a courier in Melb. One day I got a call to a food supplier in Mulgrave I won't name to take an "urgent" consignment to Tulla International. The outlet of the clown had run out of tomatos. So, three styrene boxes of bright green, deep frozen toms and off I went. God knows what they do to them after they get them.

I've found that to be the case in most food preparation or manufacturing environments, be they a multinational company or local bakery.

I wish I had been there. But the mention of "catering services" puts a bad taste in my mouth....

That road train burger has the right idea.

Big burgers need to be big in diameter, NOT height.
    Change my mind.

The things i have seen over the years working on Refrigeration equipment, in T/A shops, hot bread shops, small and medium supermarkets,Cafes,Service stations,Pubs, and many other places, that i wont name, would turn anyones stomach upside down.
What astounds me is only a few of the owners of these businesses get caught by the Health Dept.

There are also many places around that are run very well, when it comes to Hygiene, and preparation and storage of food.
