    On the stats. Fully agree 1/1000 might be tough to prove at a local level A fishing yarn perhaps. Missed the reporter standing in the water. Some real colour to the news report my have needed them on a roof for a day or so

    I've heard 1/200, 1/1000 and 1/2000. I think they make it up as they report.

    I saw footage of a D4 driving at speed through floodwaters at Scarborough, Qld, on the weekend. From the reports, the vehicle drove through the waters several times, with it's bow waves washing through houses.

    The people who put the footage up, also gave the rego. number.

    You know the flood is really serious when even the navy park their boats out of harms way on the land in the botanical gardens
