It was you who said goodbye and were going but as with many of your threads that are posted in the wee hours this is just full of drama.

By all means have a whinge - we all have - but if you say you are going then just go but as it seems as if you are staying lets have a little less of the late night theatrics.

    Gee, thanks. I'm touched.

That’s a fair point - taken on board. But the shed was built to store Land Rovers, and has has up to 8 jammed in it! The hoist was assembled by AULRO members one day - that was a stressful but fun day.

Does it count that my shed only has Land Rovers in it, with a Land Rover Only parking sign on it?

Joking aside,I don't 'get' Facebook. I guess as suggested I could just 'use' it, keep settings private etc. It seems that an awful lot of people live their whole lives out on it (including SWMBO)

Since then one tends to build one's own knowledge base for one's own vehicle by reading relevant posts & hands on stuff.
Thanks for the feedback. I've only been around Series Land Rovers since 2007 so most knowledge has come from research or previous mechanical experience. I'm one of those people who doesn't pay people to do the work, I typically figure out how to do it myself. I also have access to a number of engineers, machine shops etc. to ask for advice.

The way the forum is set out at least you can just go to the sections you're interested in.
At the end of the day it's supposed to be a Land Rover forum which means questions/discussions around Land Rovers. There seem to be sections created for all sorts of subjects other than Land Rovers. I remember some years back there was a focus on individual post counts despite some posters posting all sorts of unrelated links ?!

We're all different and some seem to need to post all their problems & personal beliefs, I guess I'm more private.
Maybe as you enter AULRO you should get the choice of 'Land Rover only' or "Land Rover and all the other stuff (I was going to type something else but it would have been deleted)".

I guess our needs change as time goes by. I used to learn a lot from the forum, now I probably post more helping people.

Funny you mention that, Gromit. The reason I joined Fbook was that a BIL was overseas for a while and the Rugby League world cup was on. Fbook, via Messenger, was the best platform to keep him up to date with scores.
Another of my friends is a frightfully British, UK resident and we fire shots at each other, on Messenger, during 'Home Office v Colonials' sporting events. He's taken a lot more hits than I have lately. It annoys me that, because he's so stoic, I can't seem to get him really riled.
