please explain.....I don't understand why you need to align a tyre with the hub...
Hi all,
Have been unfortunately changing tyres a bit too often these days, mostly slow leaks that suddenly become fast leaks.
Can someone direct me to the person that sells the screw-on tool that helps you line up the tyre with the hub.
I did see it again I think late last year or early this year, but I forgot all about it.
It will be a great help for when I have to change a tyre.
TIA

Maybe lining up wheel with studs is what the OP means.....

Most of us put a tyre lever under the wheel when putting it back on the car.
This is especially useful when changing heavy 4WD or truck wheels as it makes it much easier to lift the wheel and it gives you some wriggle room to locate the wheel onto the studs
If you don't have a tyre lever handy a wheel brace, shovel or even a stick can be used instead.

eBay site for the tool you are looking for. Seller is a member of this forum, and as far as I know, he only sells through eBay.
I received mine about a week ago.
Cheers .........

That's me. Not allowed to sell through the forum without taking out a dealer sub, although I only had a batch made up for the people on here! I have four left on eBay, but I have an unprocessed order for two of them, so only two left. I'm happy to have another batch made up if the mods will allow me to sell them in the marketplace somewhere. It's a cost recovery exercise for me, not interested in running a business.

How about this ? - Have seen a variant of this but basic idea is the same. Fancier model may have a built in jack of lifter.. to align.
Tiny wheels would be a nuisance in the bush on soft (?) ground, but ....Possibly replace the toy wheels with something fatter and bigger, to use on dirt... Definately need to use with one of those alignment bolts when by yourself.

cant say what I really do, its a doddle at home doing wheels and tyres in my big flat open clean carport.
I've only had to change 3 tyres in 50yrs of bush driving and each time I got swamped with help from mates or other travellers, dont think I got my hands dirty , just cold and wet handing out beers.
so , my tyre change helpers have been people.....don't you just bloody love this country?
I do....Dennis wipes a glistening tear from his eyes
