I liked this idea when I saw it and thought I might get one when older, watch from the 10 minute mark.
All a bit complicated when the same result could be achieved with the jack handle, far quicker.

I have been using the jack handle/tyre lever since I was still struggling to grow a beard and the car already has 5-6 guides on it they are called wheel studs

IF you REALY NEED something to use as a stud extension why not sinply use a short length of pipe that fits snugly over the wheel stud.
However simply using a lever under the bottom of the spare to lift it and twist it so that it aligns with the wheel studs is such a simple procedure I cant realy seen the need of anything else.

I bought 2 when offered on the forum, and they are some of the most useful things in my toolbox.

the ease of refitting the wheel is fantastic, as you don't have to angle the tyre under the hub then lift and align at the same time.

The only addition I would like to see is say a 8MM bolt head on the end to speed up screwing them on, but that is a very minor issue.
    Regards PhilipA

Yep! It would have to be 8mm, as no one can find their 10mm socket, ay.

Except if the memory is suddenly way more flexible, stable and stronger than the ... body, today...

But I see where you're coming from. Especially 10 years ago...

Talking about "gee gaws", I just ordered one of these.
It only runs at 310w-370w (a bit over 30A) for about 10min so a couple of hot dogs will only sap 6AH

I have used one of those style jacks as a router lift in my home made router table. Currently in the process of building a larger version. When you look at the price they are asking for a purpose built router lift - the scissor jack becomes a very attractive option, and does the job just as well.

Can someone direct me to the person that sells the screw-on tool that helps you line up the tyre with the hub.
I did see it again I think late last year or early this year, but I forgot all about it.
It will be a great help for when I have to change a tyre.

    TIA

Lower the jack to the desired position and slip the wheel on.
