Put it on carsales(or whatever method your using) and say its in sydney now but will be in tassie from X date and see what happens.
There,s quite a few sports down here so you,ve got a good chance of unloading it down here.
cheers

I have accepted a position in Tasmania and will be moving there next month. The new company I work for has a requirement that the vehicle you drive returns better than 8l/100km on the combined cycle. Obviously my supercharged RRS won't meet that requirement. There is a grace period but it is coming up to time to move it on anyway.
The question is do I sell it here in Sydney or wait until I get to Tassy?

Trade it in on a TDV8 one?
I'd get it up on Carsales as soon as you can and just adjust the ad when you relocate. We're getting pretty close to the dead zone for selling cars as winter sets in, although with the current secondhand market it might sell in a few days. Stay away from Gumtree and if you go there don't put a phone number on the ad. I'm still reaping the rewards of my phone number being harvested from them. Private sales seem to take a bit longer than dealer ones and you will have difficulty selling it unless you can arrange for it to have no money owing on it as the dealers have a nice little monopoly with most lenders not being willing to split finance into more than one vendor payment. I'd also put the vin number up on the ad, when I was looking I wouldn't bother with a car with no vin number, no way to look at whether it had any encumberances on it or not.

No money owing, so a clear title.
The TDV8 combined cycle is a little more than what is required so it isn't on the list, the D300 Defender slips under but the wait and price is a problem.
Next question, put the 22" wheels back on or leave it with the 20" and AT tyres?

I think I'd put the 22s back on if they are in good condition and have reasonable tread. You should be able to sell the 20s pretty easily and the 22s would keep it stock which is a good thing. You could also offer the 20s as a sweetener to a prospective purchaser as a counter for an offer.

The other option is to keep it and buy a less desirable vehicle as a daily driver. The attractiveness of that depends on shed space and how much you would use it as well. I'm flat out thinking of a vehicle I'd replace mine with except maybe a supercharged Defender.

Is this a thing now, employers tell you what car you can own? Are you allowed to eat meat in this new job?

I have no problem with safety, and that has been the norm for quite a while, but fuel economy, that really doesnt seem reasonable at all.
Is the vehicle being used for work,or does the rule include your private vehicle used for private use and to get to work and back only?
As for the vehicle,i would list it ASAP,in Sydney, much more people in the area,a buyer may also come from interstate, easier to travel to see it in Sydney, than in Tassie.
Keep both sets of wheels, offer the purchaser either or both,it may help with the deal.
