Just playing in the front yard after fitting the kit from England.
The ramp is 1/2 meter high and I had to put a car ramp under the front wheel to get max droop.

Ummmm, does this one count if RichardK had to rescue me???
Because was well stuck and getting worried! I think the first picture was my 2nd successful attempt. 2nd picture saw me pack my undies as it was on a much worse angle just before this photo.
I might add my Defender is bog standard in that area and this is what they will do off the showroom floor.

A question????:)
With the fitting of traction aids as standard to many new vehicles is the the issue of articulation becoming less relevant to the capability if modern vehicles. An example is an airsuspended D3 - it does have reasonable articulation for an independent suspension vehicle but nevertheless is not great but because of its traction aids is a mightly capable vehicle. How many of you have seen pictures of a D3, one wheel in the air but still plugging away quite happily.
Interested in your thoughts after all, one of the reasons Landrover gave for not fitting LSDs to discos when they were fitted to most jap 4wds was that they did not need it because of their soft long travel suspension.
Cheers
