Not sure what the result of the investigation into the environmental impacts reportedly caused by Tassal. My guess is nothing though.

I love fresh fish. Caught by me is the best of course.
The Canadians and others having a feeding frenzy on Tassal (tassie Salmon ) was in the paper today. Link at the bottom
"The latest offer puts a price tag on Tassal exceeding $1 billion. Ten years ago, when corporate sharks (including Cooke) were circling Tassal the offer was more in the order of $280 million." A bit of a growth rate in that
It made me look at other fishy types.
My favorite fish other than Blue Fin is King Fish. A South Aussie Clean Sea Seafood in the Spencer Gulf has a very cool Liquid Nitrogen way of Freezing fish so fast it is almost impossible to pick which is fresh and which was frozen. Worth watching. I love great Aussie Tech.

Hi,
The farms are a bit of a blight on what was pristine sea scapes.
Lots of flotsam washes up from them, boxes, nets, ropes, bottles and other detritus.
They are noisy. Not so much at the nets, but at the factory. Forklifts beeping, stuff being dropped, trucks driving around and fixed pumps, air con etc all combine to make a noise that carries fo many km across a quiet bay.
I'm not as keen on them as I was originally, they are way more industrial than I ever imagined.
Cheers

Also not investment advice, but graphene battery technology seems to be a big breakthrough and looks practical to produce, although the original bit I saw on it said as it is strong, it could even make up structural parts of an electric car, so body panels that are batteries as well.
