Amarok v6 if their paying all the service costs, I love my 2011 4cyl, drives like a car and tows like a tractor just needs a bit more power, super reliable if you keep to the service schedule. VW have sorted most of the v6 teething problems now so they are quite reliable now.

Great motor (2.7) in the Territory, don't quite know what they did when they increased the capacity, never heard of any problems on the Ford forum with the Terri motor.
The Isuzu motor seems a bit more agricultural compared to the TDV6 but limited choice when my car was due for renewal.

Yes, regrettably I think you're correct. Re the Grenadier - Budget wise borderline - I could probably swing it, but from a supply and resale side of things not a chance unfortunately. Boss isn't too thrilled about buying a Ford let alone something like that. He knows he doesn't have a choice this time as Toyota have really dropped the ball - both on supply chain issues and their complete lack of innovation. The Hilux is a dinosaur in every way but they don't want to change a thing. Probably becuase spankers keep on paying top dollar for them for some unknown reason.Quote:

The auto grumbled changing gears. Something didn't sound right.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, like a 70's taxi with a BW trans with a million k's on it.
It guzzled fuel at times for no apparent reason. We were travelling 100k's each way to the site area each day, sometimes towing a boat, sometimes not. Best fuel use was one day when towing the boat..............go figure [bigwhistle][bighmmm]
Glad I wasn't paying the fuel bill, was substantial for the k's we did.
It did have this great thing under the speedo that gave you the real legal speed at all times accurately. Must be hooked up to gps, did legal roadworks speed limits as well.
All I can say is a 3.0 auto Isuzu craps all over it. The effortless grunt pulling up a hill from lowish revs gets a smile from me.
You really need to drive all your options for a couple of hours each before making the call, even the differing seats might be a game changer.
