Still use the printed map to decide the route then set way points so the computer goes the right way. Hate the magical mystery tours you end up on if the computer is left to decide the route. Used to use the post it note method but found this more than satisfactory
Certainly beats the old voice activated version that sat in the left seat and would say turn left now. Turn where there are no side streets? That one we passed back there
Both my 4wds quite often have their GPS routes queried/altered/negated by a similar, 'Override Function', which is activated by a certain pressure on the left seat. [biggrin]Quote:

Back in 60's - 70's if you were going on a road trip the RACQ would supply you with strip maps so if you were going from Brisbane to Cairns each page would cover between major towns so Brisbane to Gympie , Gympie to Maryborough & so on.Quote:
