Also, one would assume that dinkum, Aussie rice would be less likely to have any arsenic content.

Fascinating simile used there - reminds me of an old friend of mine (died in 1972 or thereabouts) - he had managed a tea plantation in West Bengal before Indian independence, and ended up in Australia after 1948.
