I've done around 50k on a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3 and am quite impressed....except they ended a wonderful puncture and blowout free run for years. I don't think you can blame the tyre for running over a very squared sided ironstone rock.
I don't think any manufacturer in the last few years has released a tyre that makes everyone want to buy them.
People buy their favourite or pub recommended brand and everyone has a bad story to tell.
Because of the blowout and unrepairable puncture I currently run 3 different brands because of outback tyre availability.

My Deefer is Expedition set up and not normally used for playing but for getting to those weird and remote places. Mud specific tyres always seemed over kill for me. (Before Maxxis I was always Pizza Cutters on split rims)
Since this is in the general section I got a set of Atturo tyres on 21" rims in exchange for 2 bottles of gin to fit the RRS. They are a really good tyre, considerably better than the Pirellis that were on the 20" rims that I bought for all terrains and as good as the worn out tyres on the 22" factory rims. I'll happily buy another set in 22" once I've worn these out if I can find some.

Have had Hankook Dynapro ATs on the Defender for a couple of years now and I'm happy with them.
They are a good all-round tyre, strong, go well on everything from bitumen to Outback gravel.
I'm thinking of buying an extra 2 so I have 6.
Perhaps because you aren't running 22, 11R 22.5 tyres on a vehicle, Simon. Admittedly, I only ran premium tyres on the steer.Quote:
