Back in the 80s, I had this huge cane toad which, in its day, won numerous races at the Airlie Beach pub's cane toad events. I hope your brother is as successful!

Didn't the backpackers like licking the backs of cane toads?

Just a bit of trivia, some of the lakes on Fraser Island have lost nearly all the resident freshwater turtles, due to them eating Cane Toad tadpoles.

Luckily Gnoorganbin, a.k.a. Mulgumpin/Moreton Island, has no cane toads as far as can be certain. A bloke I know, who resides there, has a cane toad locating, 'Service Dog'. The good hound located a few toads on debris which had washed up on the Western Beach, after the floods earlier this year.

I never knew such dogs existed, until this one.

You have to love trivia, ay!

They often come in accidently with building materials as well.

Hounds are used to detect heaps of different things,i was reading about some that had been taught to locate some sort of noxious weed.
A different weed than the one some are thinking

Yes, one of JRA's training complexes - a very, very large building with everything inside out of the weather - was across the road from my place in Tokyo. It would've cost a fortune to build, and that's not counting what a hectare or so of land costs in central Tokyo. And the private estates in Hokkaido, from what I've seen of them, are similarly impressive.

A girl I knew in another life, had two dogs called 'Cheech' and 'Chong'.

    Anyway, I think we digress!

It's fine here at the moment.

El Nino pulled up lame and probably won't run again until 2024, if at all. Look for its sister, La Nina.

Could we have Malcolm in the middle for a while first?

Noticed huge patches of road lifting up a floating to the side after traffic on it looked and felt it was a suspension bridge on the weekend. Princes Highway western Vic. Too hot the road melts. too wet it can float sort of. A bit of the Middle child of La Nina and El Nino pretty please.
