Hi guys just an update on the flood that I had last Tues/Thurs/. Had a guy out Mon and he took measurement of the garage and he said that they would arrange a clean up and today I had another guy came today.
And he took notes, he is saying that it will be a new garage and shelving. And I am to list all Mario power tools and other stuff that I want to claim on. He wasn't sure what Shannons will do a pay out on all the stuff in the garage, or if Shannons will get quote from companies to replace the garage. The guy said about he has to do a report to Shannons and I should hopefully get a reply from Shannons with in 5 bussines days what they are going to do.

Now had one full day without rain. But the river is still nearly two metres over the bridge, and I'm still not game to try to drive anywhere! But maybe things are looking up - the forecast is for no significant rain for the next week, so maybe things will dry out?

I hope you don't dry out like here, JD. We have gone from rain to dry, 20+ knot winds.

I'm betting they pay out on all the tools. Shannons selling point is they are motoring enthusiests..... motoring enthusiests are going to have garages full of tools. When I was insured with shannons years ago there was documention there on how they covered parts and tools in your shed. They become extremely expensive for house/contents insurance, so I went elsewhere. Otherwise I'd still be with them.
