New electric 'Mustang' safety conscious design

There were stories of cars and trucks crashing outside Ford dealerships when the first Mustang hit the showrooms in 1964. I can't see them having that problem with the 2023 electric thing that they have inexplicably given the name to. It has looks to match it's note.

I'm not a hater ..... but talk about boring. The thing is, they shouldn't use the mustang name. Everyone that wants a mustang thinks nice v8 .... "stick" shift. Even though the mojority sold have probably been 6cylinder autos (early on) or 4 cylinder supercharged autos. We wanted to to the last generation of mustang for my wife ( v8 manual ). They simply became to expensive with covid etc over the last couple of years. I realistically don't ever see there value dropping in Australia.

Geez, that’s ugly. Looks like a Mondeo up front and a Renault or some such trash at the back.

Wonder if it has the crappy build quality of the petrol version - I was gobsmacked at how bad they are when I took one for a drive. I think LDV’s are built better…

I love the bloke standing at the bowser/recharger watching tick over. I wonder how long he'd hold station?

    He's still there, Steve.

I loved the original Mustang, especially in convertible form.
Each subsequent model diluted the desirability, this latest iteration has not altered the trend.
As a schoolboy, I used to gaze at a (Corgi?) model of a convertible 64½ Mustang, in Waltons Redcliffe, shop window, wondering how I could raise the 2/9 to purchase it. Never did aquire it.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

I liked the modern mustangs when they first appeared but they soon became common as muck; can't see the point of owning one when three other people in your street probably have one too and you have to check the number plate to know which one's yours at the shops.
The performance figures on some of these electric appliances are astounding but they still have all the visceral appeal of an orange tram. They'll probably start installing some kind of engine note simulator before too long.

A lot of cars already have them............. a really slow revving sound that goes 'doof, doof, doof...........'

Have driven a couple of the electric ‘Mustangs’ and rate them as one of my top 3 electric cars. Have driven most of them

As to if it is a Mustang that is another question
