I am worried about the front vent flaps and will remain worried until I see a picture that clearly shows them as working models with hinges and I will stop worrying about the dash when I see where the front flap levers are.

Pity they did not take the opportunity to include some extra gauges. Id love an amp or volt gauge.

    Bit average

Spose it's what you would expect when they hardly change anything over the years.

James - what are the guages either side of the central vents ?

As to the front flaps - wouln't it be a laugh if those switches either side of the radio were connected to servo motors to work the flaps -- that'd last about 4 minutes. LOL.

Oh and whats that thing at the bottom of the centre of the dash - under what looks to be a tape player or UHF ? It could be the fuse box cover but seems to have some switches on it.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

the silver light surrounds and grill lok pox
the ventin the side will make it easier to fit the snorkle
if the bulge in the bonnet means a bigger motor than thats good
what are the two big round things in the centre of the dash, i hopes it not a compass and an angle indicator

i'd buy one if i had the $$$, instead i will have to wait till you guys to buy them, use and abuse them and when your finished with them i get to pick it up on the secondhand market.

MMmm, round things in the dash at the top look like mroe vents to go with the square ones beside them weeds.

From that photo it is hard to see if there are even flaps there at all. Perhaps the flaps (if they are there) will be piped to the round vents, and the AC and heater to the square ones (or vice versa) ?

CD player, with ac controld below that, but what is below that? Looks like 3 buttons and 2 knobs. 3 locking diffs would be nice. But I don't think so. maybe TR settings? Left knob looks like a fan switch, rhs one is a cigy socket.

What is blow that panel looks tacked on though. Maybe a temporary panel? maybe the engine takes teh firewall back more there ?

The silver grille etc has been released before. I'd say the black car is a mule, a test bed. Trying it see where its all to fit.

The dash is in a jig, its a mockup. So nothings finalised.

We have seen significant changes over the years which have dampened the Landrover as I know it.

This has to be the most significant. Might as well go out and by a disco.

    Evolution of Failings:

I am sure Early timers were rolling over when the Interior Light was offered as an optional extra.

I struggled when they introduced a full dash into an SIII.

    Next the Sliding windows went.

The Buggers tried killing of the front Vents for Factory Air in mid 80's

Some clown introduced Elecy Windows - What The! oh, can't forget Fly by Wire and Computer Chips.

Silver plastic finishes in a landrover just does not cut it for me.
