Pales into insignificance compared to what happened to you. I was tempted to have a drink afterwards, though. I've had more injuries and falls in the three months ( today ) sober than I did in the preceding five years drunk. Just kidding, it's going to take more than a fall or two.

Your issues are your mountains to overcome. My injuries are luckier than lucky not a standard to aim for thankfully

Every time some gasps at a marathon or ten I just tell them about Ironmen/women I know or a very special lady with a huge back/hip issue who walks past my place daily with a huge limp and a huge smile
