No a 4wd, but a Messerschmitt would still need to have a jack.

That old Toyota one second in from the left, is worth a pretty penny nowadays.

I have a few of the early Discovery Italian made Coram jacks for mine, they work great and fit the axle perfect. Can be had cheap too

I'm sure I have another one of those, painted yellow for some reason.

Easy to take apart to clean & grease plus it's well made.

No, I actually think the original colour was yellow, like the Nissan ones were red.

The Olive drab was me, intention is to use those in the FFR & IIa GS.

I guess painted yellow it's harder to lose.

I've heard few members say they awoke their bottle jack from its sleep under the bonnet of their D2 , only to find it wouldnt work.

the english lanes are not like our corrugated dirt roads and the seals leak after a while and jack goes dry lying on its side.

thats when D2 owners put them in the rear storage boxes...upright...after mistakingly buying a new one instead of filling the old one..
