Thread: Clicked over?

On my morning travel to the footy club, the Landmark “clicked “100,000.
So I said to myself, ‘ what a silly expression ,nothing clicked ‘ , it’s not even a milestone tho it could be a kilometre aluminium post.

So how about these terms that are redundant; shipping goods when no ships involved, sailing when no sails,steaming though no steam, yardstick ,

But then again ,what is the woke equivalent of “ doing the ton on Conrod Straight “

The equivalent is "Doing 44.7M/s on Conrod Straight". For the woke equivalent, the best I could do was "Emitting tons of CO2 while practicing an outdated and imperialistic task for the entertainment of neanderthals under the pretense of it being a sport whilst burning the environment to the ground and desecrating sacred dreaming".
