Thread: Goodyear MTR w/ Kevlar availability??

Don’t know about availability or reasons why there may be a shortage but I do know I tried them once and will never buy another set due to wear , great when new but useless not long after

Cannot help you why no Goodyears……

But o was surprised at the availability of 235/85 BFG AT’s are on WA…..

Alls good. I've had the opposite. Incredibly good runs out of both the old type and the current Kevlar type. My experiences are that they are really long lived, but it might be a tyre size thing.

Hopefully the lack of supply is the lead up to a new release.

I managed to destroy one the tyres on my D4 and it turns out that there are no 255 55/R19 Goodyear Wrangler HP All Weather tyres in Australia - at all: no-one has stock. I've ordered one but it won't be here until April or May when the boat they're on arrives. If I get a serious flat or lose another one before then I'm going to have some problems.

Seems the MTR’s were not available in AU for much of last year or the east coast at least. I ended up getting a couple of KO2’s to replace worn MTR’s on the front of our 2012 Puma so now have a mixture. The MTR’s are much louder than the KO2’s and don’t seem to last very long.
We have KO2’s on our 300Tdi which runs much quieter and holds the road very well.
We have Coopers on the Td5 and they have their moments, pressure has to be spot on @31lbs or handling is a bit iffy! Will replace with KO2’s when the time comes.

I have an “as new” one. Never been used.
that is a Wrangler HP 19” 255/55 all weather.
You are welcome to have it.
