We have 2009 Liberty, 09 was a changeover year, ours is the last of the old ones.
It's at 288,000km and is using a significant amount of oil, and is quite rattly in 2nd gear.
It had a clutch and reco transfer case (failed viscous coupling) at 205,000km
It throws a cat converter fault from time to time, replace with genuine seems to be the only real fix at $4k. I just clear it, and it's fine for weeks to months.
We have owned it since new, and it's been serviced by the book.
It's done mostly hwy Ks
As much as I like it as car, I wouldn't look at a second hand one,
