What Has Happened to the Schooner of Beer

I found this to be pretty typical in a SA pub..

And how many did you visit?

Of the 5 or so here, not one is purely Coopers.
Several have boutique brews on tap.

Lincoln, Cowell, Tumby, Pt Neill, Cleve all have alternatives on tap.

I'm with you Tombie, most places will have at least 3 or 4 different brands on tap.

someone over in the west paid too much money for a 50' boat that would do 50kts.

was it Lloyds Ships that built it?

I can't recall if it ever achieved the desired speed.

I know a boat that can do 50 knots

Honestly on the stern of a amazing DDG at Full Ahead is still awe inspiring for this black duck.

the rear deck on the Fast Cats that ran to Tassie was exciting!
certainly a hard place to keep a steady schooner---

I was at two local pubs recently and bought a schooner of full strength beer and also wanted a schooner of light as I was driving. No light on tap so had to buy a stubby which I wanted in a glass. The full strength schooner filled the glass and the stubby also filled the same sized glass to the same level.

So my supposed 425ml schooner of full strength was actually 375ml - have I been short changed 50ml for my schooner.

Have you noticed that the actual size of beers have slowly decreased with no fanfare.

I have some schooner glasses in the cupboard and had always assumed that a schooner was 375 Ml as a can filled it pretty nicely. I reckon that you would be lucky to ever get 425 ml of beer at a pub though.
