Seriously, any treated water in Australia is safe to drink. Taste may vary due to the source of the main ingredient, people get used to their local brew, considering that to be the benchmark
I know that it’s safe, Ian, but it tastes like a backyard pool.

You're proof of my statement. Your host would say the same of Dandy water, as would a person domiciled in Bendigo, Shep, et al.

My host laments the quality of the water here, and much prefers the water at her sister’s house, which happens to be next door to mine in Sassafras. So there.

Back in Melb after two months. Sun shining, for now.....

Edit: Water does not smell like a public swimming pool...

We're on tank water and I can smell treated water from a mile away, especially at dining places, where they give you a glass and jug of water.

I have to say though, that I would rather drink treated water than swim in a public pool!

100% correct,we can only blame successive Governments.

Come to Qld they have all said, but sorry we haven't improved the infastructure, roads, power, public transport, water, health, and crime issues, particularly youth crime,(we won't go there).
But we have done a great job increasing taxes, road tolls, etc, etc. Its fun sitting in a parking lot, edging along when Bing, the toll transponder goes off..Happens to me many times nearly every working day.Paid parking while on our wonderfull motorways, particularly that Logan Motorway.

Seems everything is 10yrs behind at least, back in Jo's day, they were 10yrs ahead.

Anyway, this is General Chat,so that will do.

Fortunately for me I only had to go on the motorways twice, once to the PAH, and today to the airport. Not much traffic around Boonah. But it seemed tame compared to the Burnley tunnel in afternoon peak.
But yeah, we are being “encouraged” not to drive but given no alternatives. And the PT that there is cannot do deliveries.
