EU required car manufacturers to have sufficient parts for 8 years life. This works with a long standing EU policy that all cars over 10 years old should be removed from the road. This was pushed by both green groups and manufacturers

This is at date of manufacture and is based on assumptions about wear and required replacement. Towards the end of this period you can find a difference either way with the guesstimate made when car introduced

Was done at time of introduction of car to have parts available for those who bought the car if the manufacturer ceased to trade

Yet a new gearbox for a Puma defender has been impossible to get from the manufacturer for quite a few years.

You are assuming that 28 days newer (sp) than you is any better than the one built on yer birfdee.
Your facsimile may have turned up it's toes by now, J2. Frankly I prefer the existing one.

Don't see them too often on the roads these days.
In my opinion those are the most good looking car. plus driving 4 by 4 vehicle is really a good idea.
There are couple of minuses too of course, according to this article Do You Need An All-Wheel Drive Vehicle? Pros And Cons – articles.
For someone who lives in the big city it is probably not the best car, but all of us village people need one for sure.
