Any Self-employed Consultants Out There?

Responsibility or skill/knowledge does not and never has determined pay

A friend is the MD of a finance company. His brother has a bottle shop near a train station. Which one earns more? The brother with the bottle shop by a good margin

I agree. Still, this is what I have been doing for the last couple of years. I had a significant setback the last couple of months so I took on another well paid job in an environment I used to love but has gotten a bit... well nevermind, that is not PG rated :) Anyway, The plan is to take the set back on the nose and soldier on and still make a 5 year RTW trip, we'll just start a year later. Me being self employed made it possible to do so in the first place. So, in stead of retiring early, I am taking an advance on it to see the world whilst I still can. Same thing really, different implementation.
