Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water

Shark! Nope wouldn't this give you the ****s

"Grand Princess cruise ship bound for Adelaide suffers dual COVID-19, gastroenteritis outbreaks

    "
The Grand Princess — operated by Princess Cruises — is expected to arrive in Port Adelaide on Monday.
Grand Princess passenger, Maureen Monk, said there was a lack of communication onboard that she believed created an "unsafe environment" for passengers.
"The communication was not there at all, none of the guests really knew what was going on," she said.
Ms Monk set out on a 14-day cruise around Australia on the Grand Princess but said it became apparent on the second day of her trip that some passengers were becoming unwell.

Buggered if I'd go on a cruise again. I'll stick to mooring the things thanks.
    Cheers, Billy.

Floating prison in my opinion. Who said the last jail ships were in 1868?

All one needs is some seasickness on top of all that and one would be praying for death.

I get a chuckle out of the news when people are complaining that their ship encountered waves which then scared them or they could not do some of the advertised activities. Looking for compensation as the waves scared them and ruined their holiday.

That said and I forget the sea state classifications but from memory they went from 1 to 10 with 1 being still calm 10 being highest. Most of the large modern cruise ships are only 5 or 6. They are after all cruise ships not ocean liners. This being a cost benefit issue as the passengers no doubt do not want to be on there in rougher weather

Do they seriously believe the ocean is as calm as the brochures show. Would be really disappointed if they went through the great Australian bight expecting a calm sea

There's another wave of covid, expected to spike in Australia, at Christmas time.
