That'd be awesome. Up here the fashion is vintage bondwood caravans. You'd top that by miles.

Well, in my 30s I switched from a career in the Arts to tax and finance, which tends to confound most people.

Yeah there's a few of those vintage caravans selling coffee around here, plus at least one Kombi van that I've seen.
An old Lightweight would be a change of USP I suppose.....

Well the coffee van idea turns out to be dead in the water.....
You can't trade from council owned property (like the carparks behind the dunes that the surfers park in!) apart from at public events like markets or festivals and there aren't really enough of those nearby to make it worthwhile.
Or you apply for a permit to trade from a permanent address, which completely misses the point of being mobile!
And there aren't any industrial estates around here that you could drive into a private carpark to trade from.
Oh well, was a nice idea while it lasted!

A fly in fly out type dropped that for a Coffee Van and loves it. Met him in Geelong when doing that hideous clothing thing with two wheels. His Mobile coffee van rocked I thought as did his wife and kids. His kids and wife had been struggling with the prior high paying job. His coffee and chat was very good. Less said about the sweat soaked clothing the better

My next role is in play at the moment. Looks like a few years chatting with/helping Veteran's might be it until I hit 60ish. Interviews next week.

Navy 15-22, Diving 22-24, Government publishing/tax 24- 32, General Dogs Body Medical from then until 2023.

Changes in my CV have expanded and evolved. I did not add catching chooks at 3am as a 12 year old to the CV

One Caveat -Coffee and non essential addictions like that are economically price sensitive and can be cyclical

I haven't seriously considered it as I'm on the home stretch and will just tough it out. For a long time I've thought a dream job would be a joke/script writer on a TV show, play etc as work would be filled with laughs and one could write the outcome one wanted every time.

I wouldn't consider plumbing though as install work would probably be alright but is a young person's game as time is money, but maintenance and attending to blockages would be a dirty job.

Given the twists and turns life has given me I'd be quite interested in doing something. I'm sure I could get a driving job again, even at 70, but I don't really want that. Something from home would be great.

I went from office work to fixing caravans and love it. Working with my hands is satisfying, and the change of pace really helped my mental well-being. Never too late.
