Regarding these beasts, does anyone know which part of the body in particular is stretched to accommodate the additional 200mm in track?

They obviously could be wider down the middle, but don't exactly look like that is the case.

G'day All, Only having a passing interest in these vehicles (cause I reckon I could be dead before they are released (more likely crushed)), from memory the chassis is wider in the rear section from behind the where the fuel tanks are mounted, I dont have any pix but thats where I seem to remember that was the difference to allow the spare wheel to be underslung, but Tony who is a user of this site possibly would know much more detail than me and whats more could have pix of same, I do remember seeing some pix in the old AULRO site in someones gallery, they were shiny gal and stacked about 4 maybe 5 high near a perimiter fence obviously a military facility anyway cheers for now Dennis
PS what was in the first post I couldn't see anything??

From memory this one has been around for awhile.I think he had $150,000 on it originally, then to 90 000...etc. It's was advertised in 4x4 trader about 5 years ago. Had also a few Hummers.

    Hi guys
That belongs to my mate,Trevor the auto elec from Narrogin. He belives it is a Perentie but I dont think so,it isnt the full width of the Perenties.I think it is a civilian version.
It was built for a trip thru the Kimberley,no exspense spared. It is amazing to look at,there are 2 seats in the rear and heaps of storage.Trevor bought it already converted.
If anybody wants to speak direct to Trevor I can give you his number. As far as I know he has it up in Perth on conignment.

    More pics at

I don't have a SWMBO, but I don't have the money either. Does look good, even if not the "genuine article."
