Plenty of that in Perth. I usually make myself as wide as I can with a truck along side to slow them up. Talk to a truckie on the UHF and they will normally oblige to slow these clowns up.
I was road raged in a big way today. Was driving along quite happily minding my own business, dual carriageway (Orrong Rd for WAAULROians), speed limit 70kmh, me in the right lane but heavy traffic so no-one is going anywhere in a hurry and I was happily keeping up with the traffic anyway. Noticed this woman behind frantically lane swapping, next thing I know she is behind me flashing her lights. Gave her the one fingered salute, she dives past in the smallest gap, gets in front of me and slams on the brakes - not the most intelligent action in a small car in front of a 2 tonne 4wd!![]()
For the next few minutes she continues with this, speeding up, slamming on brakes, I changed lanes and so did she, I tried slowing down, so did she, she was just about climbing in the back seat gesticulating out the window. What a loony.![]()
In the end I thought gotta get away from this mad woman, saw a gap and dived past her.
Trouble is everyone else around will probably think I was a loony in my big 4wd because I had to keep braking hard and swerving to avoid her.![]()

You should have blown her a kiss, then when she returned with a finger make an obscene pick me up type gesture (works every time) then she'd really be peed off.
A scene repeated every day unfortunately.
Whilst my experience tonight did not involve rage it did involve a driver in a small red car weaving in and out of peak hour traffic in pursuit of vital position...after 3 to 4 km of weave, brake lights and bursts of acceleration the driver was exactly where he started..... just in front of me.
The sad thing is that we are judged by the vehicle we drive and not the way that we drive.

I love driving sports cars... probably more than the fender around town. However we never take the fast car verses the fender because it makes it any quicker to get anywhere..Originally Posted by one_iota

I get tail-gated often.
I live in the country and drive to the big smoke (Newcastle).
Country roads with very little overtaking oportunities.
I sit on the speed limit, then the hoons come up very rapidly and sit REAL close.
Solution: I slow down.
I reckon that makes them even more upset![]()
Makes me happy.
It happened to me driving to Newie about six months ago. The guy eventually pulled up next to me and started abusing me cause I was hogging the road in my bloody 4WD. I looked at him looked at the traffic lights green my way red his and a cop four cars back. I said whats up princess cant you afford oneOriginally Posted by Ralf_the_RR

I might have to try that one. I'm allways being tailgatted even when i'm over the speed limit. Currently I tend to slow down and if they still don't get the message I will tap the breaks. In the Fender I have turned on my reversing spots but that just seems to get the angrier. The funniest thing I have found is to make a point of helping the curteous drivers pass you while ingoring the death wish morons.
As for rage my wife had a guy tail gatting and continually trying to overtake but having to pull back in due to oncomming traffic. When he finnaly passed he was gesturing maddly so SWMBO gave him the bird. He totally lost it and tried to run her off the road. He then took off at speed and pulled over and tried to waive her over. In her words nothing would have made her stop by that time.
