They do. They do. And they're wrong. Well, wrong in the sense that it is a Polish name and the correct pronunciation is along the lines of Shre-Let-Ski. But say that in Gippsland and they'll look at you blankly. Mind you, say anything in Gippsland and they'll look at you blankly!
But we've Anglicised (Australianised?) the name, like we do with Kosciuszko (Kosh-Koosh-Ko I think).
