You can come and try mine on for size if you like dobbo - Stockton Skate park makes a great spot to test your flex heheheh.Quote:

Its not so much about the static ride height though. It more about where the wheel stops at maximum compression that dictates the tyres that'll fit. The Simex 33x10.5's are pretty common with 2" nominal also.
Havn't you got 35s under yours slunnie? what did you have to do to make them fit? i was going to extend my bumpstops but so far so good with the 265s, i might do it if i go bigger, i have longer travel bilsteins on the back, i had to drop the brake line and ABS lines down to get enough play in them, I also have some bilsteins to go in the front but i have to move the front cross member, or cut a peice out of it.
I do. To make them fit I raised the suspension by 40mm, the bumpstops are raised by about 50mm. Ext ABS/brake lines and slightly ground watts linkage axle mount for additional drop. Patrol rear shocks up front and 10" travel shocks on the rear. The guards have had 1.3" trimmed from around them and flexi flares fitted. The inner plastic guards have been removed, but could go back in, the sliders cut back but the bull bar is not modified. To make it handle properly the rear swaybar (ACE) downlinks have also been extended. The steering stops have also been adjusted.
Driveline is Maxiaxles/CV's, ARB lockers as the centres are not strong enough, Uni-uni tailshaft, 4.11 gears and better brakes (pads and slotted rotors)
Cal how do you find the performance with the 265/75's ? has your fuel consumption gone up or down in general use.
My 265/70's slashed a bit out of mine but now I wish I had the 265/75 MTRs, the Cooper St's are slippery in the wet and noisy for not much improvement off road.
The 265s made a little difference, but fuel economy didnt change all that much, especialy when you consider that the odometer is now 10% out on the lower side of things, the main thing i noticed with the change was the cornering and the lack of power right low down off the mark. I went from 255/55-18s though, it handled better then my commodore wagon before the change of tyres and stock suspension.
At the moment mine has roughly 65-68mm lift in the rear, i have SLS and have used the 4x4DE 50mm lift and made a few changes to the sensor extensions to get the extra little bit of lift out of them, in the front i have ARB779 with 18mm of spacers under the spring mount, this gives me about 60-65mm in the front. Bilstein shocks in the rear and still have the original LR shocks in the front, spaced up 18mm with the spring seat spacer.
Other mods are ARB Winch bar, ARB Side protection steps, LR/Safari Snorkel, Lightforce XGTs, upgraded to greasable unis in the DC joint in the front shaft. I also have some other plans for it, rear bar, UHF, winch, maybe lockers one day, possibly convert to LPG and a few othe small bits and peices.
My disco :)

Hi cal415,
If you put the 18mm spacers in the front wouldn't the sls automatically take up that 18mm?
If not what modifications did you make?
I have the 4x4DE kit under mine as well and was thinking about the 18mm in the front.
Cheers
