    Gday,

The 18mm of spacers are just because the 779(50mm lift) springs up front are prone to sag 10-20mm so i wanted to keep the front up as high as possible, it also lifted the shock mount so keeping the original shocks for now wasnt sure a bad thing - apparently with spacing up the spring seat 18mm is about as heigh as you wanna go with these for safety reasons, i used 3 6mm spacer plates each side, you can get these from les richmond i think it it was.

As for the SLS, It only works on leveling the rear suspension, Basically i had to extend the sensor extensions so to speak, if you take a look at your rear trailing arms you will see the sensor bracket sitting on top about mid way along, there will be small extension peices in there that came with the air bag lift - without these the ride height would be the same even after you put in the 50mm blocks under the air bags as its these that tell the car what height its running at. I basically extended mine, by lifting the sensor arm you make it think the rear axle is siting alot closer to the car so it fills the airbags with more air to bring it to the right level. I added about 4-5mm to the extensions get the extra height - the 50mm lift extensions are about 29-30mm between the holes because they sit about half way up the trailing arm.

BTW Michael Samootin from 4x4de did not recommend i do it and thought i might have been pushing it a bit with the extra on the rear, but so far so good, and i know of cars running 50mm lift on the SLS with just sensor extensions without any issues besides being alot stiffer in the rear.
