Where can I get a setup like this?

    Hi All,

I've been checking out the G4 challenge web site (heaps of photos and videos) and I really like the setup on the front of the G4 Disco 3s and was wondering if there was a similar setup available for my 98 Disco 1 and if so where from?

I'm pretty sure that the winch sits in a demountable winch box, is that right?

On a similar note who are the better land rover accessory suppliers here in Oz.

Here's a link to the site.

That particular one is available from land rover, and as far as i'm aware, is not demountable, but in fact fixed there.

    Me

What vehicle are you looking to fit it to?
Your sig file says you have a 98 Disco...

I can do winch mounts for D1/D2/D3 in varying options...

Let me know what model and what your looking for.

    Mantec....

They supply most of the extra toys for the G4.

Mind you, what I will say is that I've found that the winch does have a tendancy to ground out when coming down a steep decent.

Oh I thought it was detachable for some reason.

The reason I like the setup is that it's light. That a-bar wouldn't weigh too much and if you can remove the winch when not using it you don't have that extra weight to carry when around town.

Camel_landy: Yeah your right it does stick out quite a bit, I can imagine it will get in the way at times.

    TR: I have a D1 with airbags.

I have the rubber A bar on my D2, it's actually rubber coated steel, it doesw way quite a bit more than you'd expect.
