The prices as listed in Four Wheel Drives catalogue are;

Top wing assemble (i.e the top bit and the bit that goes down into the engine bay- $275

The quarter panel (just the side, not the top section as listed above)- $165

Front section of panel (i.e the bit that the headlight bolts into in series 3's)- $33 for SII and $55 for SIII

I'd offer him a case of beer and picking them up before he catches on. The profit could pay for your new head job.

These parts aren't worth as much as they used to be. You may find some interest on ebay, but other than that, there is not a lot of call for series parts.

He bough something like 100 pairs thinking they would be worth $1000 each. Supposed to be for LWB only??
At this point I have told the friend find out how many he has and what is the lowest he will go and I will see how many people are interested. Hoping he want to just shift them. Same guy has similar number of 50 cal gun mounts or whatever the AUS army used to use. He wanted to sell them as well.

I agree with Isuzurover that if you put anything like 100 pairs on the market the price will be about scrap value. Most people driving S3s have them in fairly good shape, don't do much driving and look after them. The market would be occasional accident repairs and people doing restorations - guessing a dozen pairs per year country wide - and you are competing with second hand - if not bent, just as good since the alloy usually does not corrode (although it will crack on the diesels).

The parts book shows the front mudguards the same for 88/109 - he's not talking about rear body side panels is he? These would sell even fewer, as they are rarely damaged compared to front guards.

Well if they were cheap i'd grab at least one side one

Gun mounts could be of interest to a couple of the REMLR guys, I know that at least one person was looking for something similar to that. If he does have that many, value will be pretty low (which would be nice )

I have seen the gun mounts but not the panels. The gun mounts are the big swivel suckers off the APC's.

OK. I have learnt that these are in fact the rear pannels and there are 10 sets. Would that interest anyone more?
