We all have our stories about the used car saleman.
Somtimes you can struck it lucky and find them on a bit of a busy day, a car has sat on the yard a bit too long, and is not a dog, and they just want to get rid of it and are actaually willing to deal, on your terms.
I went looking for a used dual cab ute a few years ago, and the yard did not have any used but offered a drive in a new one, so of course I took it for a spin, buy mistake. I spent the next hour arguing with him that I was not going to buy his vehicle because I could only afford a 2nd hand. Only reason I did not walk out as they had my keys giving my trade in an appraisal.
I found with some would not bargain on price as they stated " some one will buy it at this price"
My favorite was when one sales man asked why I was buying a 4wd and I said to go bush he replied " You might get it scratched", wehn i said "thats my intentions" he just looked at me with disbelief.
