The ones used by the Bicentennial Authority were a special batch, but I thought they were actually made by Landrover Australia and not imported!!
They were made to tow special display trailers which were taken all over Australia.
In an edition of defunct Landrover Experience magazine there was a story on one owned by expat Brit actor Chris Hayward.

Yes, definitely an Australian special - it predated the home country version by more than ten years. There is one round this area somewhere - was in a car yard in Wellington about a year ago, and i have seen it in Dubbo a couple of times since.Quote:
