Outlaws tailgate is a swingaway hand made. The tray area is to be closed with a lift up lid and draw system under this all lockable and an extra water tank intergated within. Drip rail abobe the window very important for structure and water leaks

That tray is very interesting. Glen when you get a chance can you PM me and let me know a ballpark figure for having a similar tray built for my ute (it would be seperate, unattached to cabin).

    I like that rear carrier.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Is it going to strong enough to hold the tyre.
I have a mantec one on the back of the tailgate of the 90
as you can see here. Opens with the rerar tailgate door .Takes all the weight but leaves the door with no wieght on it. Survived the ruff tracks around aus and still looks like new

the gate is way stronger than anything I have seen, My fabrication policy is build it stronger than needed. the hinge would bust way before the gate bends.

You may find that the wheel arch may not be a problem, the position of the wheel well may be a little froward of the 110 tub position. Just measure from the front mounting of the tub on each and you will see if it will line up. the gate is a good day to build! My shop a geared to fabricate all this type of equipment and still a days work. Basicly copy the rover frame design and have all parts made of heavy material and don't forget the hinge crush tubes. the gate must be able to carry 50kg of tyre and rim without bending over rough terrain. the body must also be braced to take the extra weight without the roof section to reinforce it.

Cutting and modifing a rover door will not be anywhere strong enough and will look like crap.

i sent them an email and got a quote of $750 ex perth with the mesh tailgate. pretty cheap for a canopy. a solid tailgate puts another $200 on it. i've been given the official okee-dokee from the missus, so just a matter of me convincing myself.
i'm slowly coming around. it's not a matter of me buying it, but a matter of paying it off on visa for a few months.
i also reckon my camo canvas canopy that leaks, will fit over it and from the outside will look no different....but we shall see on that.

These one from Trek Overland in the UK are some of the nicest I have seen.

The dual cabs look the dogs danglies, but are bit useless in the load dept, a 110 SW is more practical load space wise and possiblly even offers more (if you could call it that) rear passenger comfort.

So to me it has to be a 130, 110 ute or a 110sw.
