Hi all, The trip out was really good, It was my first time off roading like that.
Ive been in a gravel pit a few times in the UK and paid £25 for the privilege of going round and round. The green lanes are not very good in the south east of England either.
apart from the bumper no damage to the discovery, had it up on the ramp to clean it before wifey gets in it , I'm gonna have to get another land rover to go out to play with. .
Thanks for all the advice, cant wait till next time

Hey Rich seen as early V8 disco's are dirt cheap at the moment and the trips are roughly once a month might be the way to go or an early 2 door range rover $1500-2000

Sounds like you lads have been having fun whilst I've been gone!! The pics are great - looks like it was muddy enough for all

We just got back last night from our trip to Docker River/ Alice / Barossa - 8000 kms all up. I'll write up a report and post pics later tomorrow.

Now I've got to get the D3 ready for the final round of the NightOwl gymkhana - it never ends ....

    Cheers,

    Gordon

    Richard,

I'll post a detailed report later, but basicially, apart from breaking a shock mount on the trailer (the Docker River Rd is pretty rough at the moment!), not a problem. I met the Audi Q7 Trans-Continental lead drivers in Yulara and swapped notes, but I suspect they're in for a lot harder a drive West than they were anticipating .

    Cheers,

    Gordon
