I usually end up with a D2. Last time I went to Kal and they gave me a Ssanyong Kyron. Better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick.

When I was in the warranty era, 95-97, they used to have little Peugeots as the courtesy cars - i thought this was part of the deal (contract, thankyou) when you bought a LandRover...
read your contract and see what the dealer is required to do (a contract is a contract).
cheers,

I have a mate who works in a Melbourne dealership. They used to use LR's have loan cars but last year LRA stopped giving discounts to the dealers for loan cars. LRA used to give the dealers a limited number of cars at a discounted price for use as loan cars then after a certain number of k's the dealers would sell them...but no more.
MLR use a mix of cars including Peugeot's and Focus while Lance Dixon has a fleet of Camry's. At least they give you are car for nix.
Not much better (at least in looks!).Quote:

Having said that last time they booked the car for 2 days, and needed it for 4 so I was without the car on the weekend. I was planning some 4wding that weekend, so i asked for a LR. They offered a freelander, but when it came in the clutch was burnt out :(
Last time mine was in the dealer I got a Ssanyong Musso dual cab ute. What a boring uninspirational POS that was!
The Defender is currently in at an independent LR place having the fuel pump replaced and I have "the loaner", which is a 30yr old Rover 3500!
I dont mind what I get when its in for service, you cope. Its when its in for warranty and MLR only have the Focus I get the ****s. I need the LR, that why I bought it so to me a focus is next to bloody useless. I know its all cost related but with what they charge the Focus is not up to standard. Also, it needs to come with a free balaclava, bloody embarrasing being seen in such a toy !!!
When ever I need one when vehicle is receiving Warranty work, I always get a D3. Generally it is one of their demonstrators. Have had a V6, V8 and TDV6. But it has been back to the Dealer way over 20 times now in 14 months though. Back again today for more warranty work.

I think you should give them the full LR experience and keep a fleet of Series vehicles for them. They'd be affordable, bordering on disposable, genuine LR, even cope with some of the abuse mentioned on this thread. Best of all, you'd only need a couple cos most people would turn down the offer. :pQuote:
