    LR courtesy cars

Have some minor warranty work to get done and usually I get a courtesy car from the dealer, last time I was informed LRA no longer have this option. They are gonna need the vehicle for a few days and the dealer is 220 km from home with no other way of getting here, is this true or just BS?

I guess it depends on who you're taking it to. Southside in Brisbane have been able to supply me with a loan car most times - they simply require that you pre-book it and there was a 14 day wait last time. They have a sign up which states that the loan car needs to be hired, but I thought that only applied to paying customers, not warranty work which should be entirely on the house (including replacement transport).

It's amazing how fast a Honda Jazz can go in reverse and I swear you can get some good air off speed bumps in them. Only drawback was putting the dog inside - it looked like someone had built the car around him.

Dunno whether this is a PAG thing, or a dealer thing. Altos used to give me a freeloader, but last time I was there, they'd switched to Corollas via Altos Toyota.

Being the honest guy I am, I told them the japcrap was going bush for work. They weren't too impressed with 1500 kms in a week, with the stonechips, the dirt roads etc in NSW's central west. I wasn't impressed with the thought either.

I usually get a loaner for warranty work or servicing, if I want it. Haven't needed it the last few times so haven't asked.

My owners manual says a loan vehicle should be provided at all times ...

Yeah the Honda Jazz came through Southside's Honda dealership. I did get a Freelander once but you're right about the fact that getting a crappy "foreign" car makes you feel very unsympathetic when it comes to tackling traffic calming obstacles.

When ever I get my Subaru serviced I get a loan car no problems. As mentioned I just need to ask for it in advance to ensure availability.

We had a Falcon courtesy car one time when one of our F250s was getting serviced. We had to tow it out of an off camber bog hole.
Another time we had a falcon ute and I had to reverse it for nearly 1km before I could turn it around after chickening out of a track.

Yeah I've had Freeos a few times from Southside, and Jazz's. Almost got a Disco once but as I can't fit in them I asked to be swapped to something else ...

Some dealerships (well ours anyway) can't afford to keep a fleet of vehicles hanging around on the offchance that a customer needs a loaner, let alone a fleet of Land Rovers. We do try to help out all of our regular customers with a vehicle of some description when required, but it just isn't always possible.
