Now the fun is over its time for some feedback.
Weather was not the best but it didnt stop anyone.
Everyone met up at the Lancelin Bakery for morning tea before setting off for the dunes.
Richard and daugther Sharn(my apologies for the spelling) in the Disco
Steve & Dianne in the Rangie
Myself, Tracy and the girls, Alicia, Erin & Bree in the Fender
Owen & daughter Zoe in the Pajero & last but not least
Steve & Michelle in the Prado.
A big thanks to Steve for voluntering to lead a Landy organised trip, (he knew where he was going). He expected some good jibes about the Prado and boy did he get them. Owen remained quiet and slipped in under the radar in the Paj.
The trip took the inland track from Lanceilin to the Wedge Island dunes to escape the 5000 crazy buggy and dirt bike hoons at the Lancelin Dunes. Once at the Wedge dune we all had a good play for about an hour then headed down to the beach for lunch and some crazy circle work on the sand spit. The crazy driving award must go to Rich for some very entertaining work in the water, but Sharn was not impressed when he left her window down on the first pass.
After lunch it was back along the beach where some good soft patches were found as you can see in the photos. One very bogged Prado that needed winching out. It took about half an hour to get everybody moving again for the short run back to Lancelin.
All in all a great day out. Thanks to everyone that turned up and it was great to finally meet some of the WA AULRO members.
I look forward to doing it again soon.

Hi All
I think Stu said it all.
I just want to add we had a great day out too.
BTW it was Richards first time sand driving.
A couple of other highlights included me throwing ANOTHER tyre, I know bloody unbelievable isn’t it. I think Lancelin hates my tyres!
Also special mention for Rich who being the only one of us electric winch enabled managed to put it to good use, eh Stu ;)
Scores for the day:
1 snatch out
1 lowered tyre pressure drive out
2 winch outs
Not bad for 5 vehicles, good fun day out.
I got to snatch recover my first Toyota :)
Looking forward to doing it again.
