    I lost my nuts!

    Hi All

Had a little incident on last trip away where the wheels nuts came loose on my trailer. I could hear a knocking noise while driving along and thought the bearings had collapsed. When I stopped, I found the wheel was only held in by 2 wheel nuts. The loose wheel had butchered the studs on the hub and the holes in the wheel. Not to mention the scary thought of what could have happened if the wheel came off at 100km/h.

Anyway....now I need 3 replacement wheel nuts. I am having trouble finding this type. Any ideas?

    Cheers

Most wheel and tyre places as well as Repco, Supercheap etc have them in packs of 5 for I think around $20. Usually Speedy brand or something similar. Failing that try your local wrecker.

My first reaction when I read the title was you'd got married, like Craig said try the local auto shops or wreckes

Hardware and tyre shops sometimes stock wheel nuts. Lock nuts may be the way to go.

yep...been to a few tyre palce like Bob Jane...they didn't want to know me. I did originally get them second hand from British Off Road when I first built my trailer, but they don't have any more.

I guess I just have to keep on huntin'

Are they Land rover sized nuts? If they are go to a Landie wrecker or parts supplier, you could try a tractor parts shop?
