Awesome looking shots, looks like your missus had a fun moment.
The same thing happened to a mate of mine a couple of years ago, A big gust hit as he was cresting a dune. unfortunately he wasn't so lucky and rolled it down the dune.

Well thanks for filling in the gaps for me. Just how long have you had the 2000 Disco 'WOTEVA'? Just that I see it driving around Adelaide and no where near Whyalla. Pretty sure that I saw it just last Thursday actually down south of Adelaide with middle aged people in the front seats. If its the same disco, I think its a dark grey colour.

Must say that having four 4wd's is rather impressive. We just purchased our first DISCO about 4 months ago. Havent really spent anything on it yet and not a member of any clubs yet, but we are looking into joining a club soon. The outings and the get togethers should be heaps of fun. The Mrs wont allow money to be spent on the DISCO yet, she reckons that the kids education and that their needs are more important for now. I guess that she is right, but there will be a day when we get around to bits and pieces here and there, but it wont be thousands.

A couple of questions - do you need much of a lift to fit 35's under the car? Does it make a big difference?
Where do you access that section of beach? How does it compare to Beachport? Any soft sections, or is it mostly firm?
Awesome picture of the zook - and glad to hear that everything was okay. Alls well that ends well.

Access is via Cowell, from the IGA corner there in main street.Quote:

And this week the sand was powder soft....
I sent all vehicles to 16psi immediately (having driven it earlier that week) and we still had some boggings.
However the 35's floated lovely across the sand, and I didnt ever engage Low range in 6 hours of playing.
To fit 35's you can do it with a 2" lift, extended bump stops and a little flare trimming.
Me... I have 4" coils (my specs) shock mounts modified and extended bump stops etc...
I also have re-aligned rear arms, castor corrected front arms and a DC front shaft (prototype)

Thanks Mike for the info. On my standard alloys, could I get a set of 35s, or would I need aftermarket rims like you have?
Interested in the prototype front shaft - how are you finding it?
Must make my way up your way before Christmas I think. Perhaps on my next flinders trip I can stop of your way for a day or two...
That sand sure does look like fun...
